Jada Pinkett Smith Demands Will Smith’s Former Associate Pay $49,000 In Legal Fees

American actress and media personality Jada Pinkett Smith has asked a court to order Bilaal Salaam, a former associate of her husband Will Smith, to pay $49,000 (approximately ₦76 million) in legal expenses.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the Red Table Talk host is seeking the payment after a judge dismissed several claims in a lawsuit filed against her by Salaam. Salaam, also known as “Brother Bilaal,” had sued the actress for $3 million, alleging she caused him “extreme emotional distress.”

Salaam claimed that after he refused to help with “damage control” following Will Smith’s 2022 Oscars slap, he faced threats and harassment from the couple’s circle. He alleged the stress caused him to lose a relationship and flee the country.

However, Jada’s legal team argued that Salaam provided no medical records or evidence to support his claims. They described the lawsuit as a harassment campaign against the Smith family.

Following the court’s decision to toss out parts of the case, Jada is now demanding that Salaam cover the costs she spent defending herself. While parts of the lawsuit have been dismissed, the overall case remains ongoing.
