Mark Hails Maktown Flyers’ Historic BAL Win, Urges ‘Fear Of Victory’ Mindset

Renowned basketball promoter and steadfast supporter of Nigerian basketball, Igoche Mark, has enthusiastically congratulated Maktown Flyers on their impressive 76–68 victory over JCA Kings in their 2026 Basketball Africa League (BAL) Sahara Conference opener, describing the win as “historic and symbolic.”

In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, Mark lauded the Nigerian champions for their composure, discipline, and outstanding team spirit, singling out their collective determination to make a significant continental statement.

The statement particularly praised the collective effort of Jawad Adekoya, who delivered a crucial 20 points, alongside Tyrell Corbin, Hassan Drame, and Ogbodeje Abah*, who each contributed 13 points.
