Stakeholders from the Northern Senatorial District of Adamawa State, have asked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to contest the Senate seat for the zone in the 2027 general elections.

The call was made during a programme held in Mubi North, the headquarters of the district, where participants cited developmental strides recorded under the current administration as a basis for their appeal.

In a letter presented by a representative of the Northern Adamawa Fintiri Senatorial Vanguard, the group said that with the governor’s second tenure nearing completion, he needed to consider contesting the senatorial seat to sustain development in the area.
