President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, on his 60th birthday, commending his role in strengthening government communication.
In a message, the president described Idris as “an excellent communicator, public relations executive, and media leader” who has brought “finesse, credibility, and gravitas” to public communication in the administration.
Tinubu noted that the minister had been at the forefront of the media and public relations industry as the founder and publisher of Blueprint Newspapers, as well as chairman of a public relations consultancy and broadcast media outfit.
He also highlighted Idris’ role as general secretary of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN) before his appointment, saying it distinguished him as a patriot and valued partner in nation-building.
The president commended the minister’s diligence, brilliance, and doggedness in communicating the achievements, policies, and programmes of the administration.
“He has been steadfast in disseminating the message of Renewed Hope throughout the nation,” Tinubu said, urging him to continue.
Tinubu joined the minister’s family and friends in wishing him more years of good health and strength in service to the nation.
