Senator Sandy Onor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday secured the party’s presidential nomination forms at its National Secretariat, popularly known as Wadata Plaza, in Abuja.
He obtained the forms under the Nyesom Wike-led PDP.
He served as the senator representing Cross River Central Senatorial District from 2019 to 2023.
This development signals his formal entry into the race for the party’s presidential ticket, as political activities continue to intensify ahead of the upcoming elections.
Speaking shortly after obtaining the form, Onor expressed confidence in his vision for Nigeria, emphasising his commitment to national unity, economic growth, and good governance.
He noted that his decision to join the race was driven by the need to reposition the country and deliver purposeful leadership that reflects the aspirations of the people.
