Star actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has opened up about why she no longer attends physical church services, sparking a heated debate among her fans.
The box office queen made this known in a video shared on her Snapchat on Sunday morning. While preparing breakfast for her children before they left for church, Akindele explained that she now prefers to worship from home.
According to the filmmaker, her decision is based on the fact that church media teams often focus their cameras on her during services, making it difficult for her to worship in peace.
“I myself am not going to church. Whenever I go to church, they take pictures of me. So, I will join online, make breakfast and edit some jobs,” she said.
The actress noted that while her children still attend physically, she finds the constant filming uncomfortable and prefers to use the time to handle her movie projects while joining the service virtually.
