Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has kicked off a grassroots feedback tour of the state on the impact of his administration’s policies and programmes.

At Agburuke Nsulu, Isialangwa North local government area, he said the tour was aimed at gauging the feeling of the people about the administration and deepening grassroots engagement.

Represented by his chief of staff, Caleb Ajagba, the governor maintained that the tour was essentially a community engagement designed to connect directly with the people.

Otti, who expressed delight over the large turnup of the people, explained that the administration had redefined governance in the state through a holistic vision and inclusive policies.

According to him: “What we are doing is to visit communities, interface with them, and evaluate how these policies and programmes are impacting their daily lives.”

He expressed satisfaction with what he called “the overwhelming testimonies from residents, who pointed to visible developmental projects and improvements in their communities”.

“It is gratifying to hear directly from the people. Their responses are genuine and heartfelt. These are not people you can influence to speak otherwise.

“They have clearly identified projects and confirmed that governance has truly reached the grassroots under this administration,” he argued.
