Arsenal W.F.C. have confirmed that forward Beth Mead will leave the club at the end of the season, bringing an emotional end to a hugely successful nine-year spell in North London.

Mead’s current contract expires this summer, and the England international is set to depart after establishing herself as one of the most influential players in Arsenal’s modern era.

During her time with the Gunners, the 31-year-old won six major trophies and became a fan favourite through her consistency, goals and creativity. She made 258 appearances for the club and scored 83 goals across all competitions, cementing her legacy as one of Arsenal’s greatest attacking players.

Mead also played a key role in Arsenal’s success in Europe and domestic competitions, while her performances for England further elevated her status in women’s football. Her departure marks the end of an era for the club, particularly given her strong connection with supporters.

Recent reports have linked Mead with a move to Manchester City W.F.C., where her partner and former Arsenal forward Vivianne Miedema currently plays.

Arsenal confirmed that Mead will bid farewell to supporters during the club’s final home match of the season against Everton W.F.C. on Wednesday evening.

The club also announced that defender Laia Codina and midfielder Victoria Pelova will leave at the end of the campaign.

The departures represent a significant reshaping of Arsenal’s squad ahead of next season as the club prepares for another push for major honours domestically and in Europe.

Supporters are expected to give the trio an emotional send-off, particularly Mead, whose contribution both on and off the pitch has left a lasting mark on the club.
