The Dan-majen Gwandu Foundation in Kebbi State has provided solar-powered borehole for students, teachers and residents of Malisa Islamiyya School and its neighbourhood in Gwandu local government area.

The founder of the group and managing director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr. Ahmed Umar Faruk, while commissioning the project, said the gesture is to enable students and other residents of the area to have access to good drinking and safe water.

The managing director who is also an in-law to Governor Nasir Idris noted that the humanitarian gesture reflects the governor’s commitment to providing sustainable good drinking water in Kebbi State.

According to him, more of such projects would soon be provided in communities across the state.
