The United Kibaku Global Youth (UKGY) forum have raised concerns over Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists renewed attacks which they said have claimed many lives with properties worth millions of naira destroyed in Chibok communities.

The group lamented that in the last one week, there were coordinated attacks without confrontation at various communities in Chibok local government area of Borno State.

This was contained in a statement yesterday by the leader of the group, Comrade Peter Abraham.

“We, the United Kibaku Global Youth (UKGY) forum are seriously angry about what is happening in Chibok LGA.

“This week alone, many villages in Chibok have been attacked, including Hirpaya, Shikarki, Bambatsu, Ngadarma, and many others.

“In Kautikari, many youths have packed their properties and taken their children away from the community because of fear and insecurity.

“Many of our people have been killed and displaced, with properties worth millions of naira destroyed.

“This situation shows neglect by the local government, the state government, and even our representatives,” Abraham lamented.

He alleged that no one seems to value the lives of the people of Chibok in the present government.

“Kibaku may be a small tribe, but that should not mean our people should continue to be killed without action,” he added.

He also challenged those in authority to do the needful by protecting lives and property, saying “leadership is about protecting the people because democracy belongs to the people and must work for the people.

“Our leaders should stop depending only on religious prayers without taking action. Prayer is important, but action must also be taken to protect lives and communities. If you cannot act as a leader, then resign and allow those who are ready to serve the people,” the group concluded.
