Iran has said discussions with the United States over a proposed peace framework remain active, insisting that diplomatic exchanges between both sides are continuing despite disagreements over key terms.
Recent developments indicate that both countries have continued to trade proposals through intermediaries, particularly Pakistan, which has played a central role in facilitating communication between Washington and Tehran.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said the negotiation process is ongoing and should not be viewed as a single round of talks, stressing that multiple exchanges have taken place.
According to him, Iran has submitted its own proposals and received responses from the United States, with both sides continuing to review revised versions through established diplomatic channels.
He maintained that media reports suggesting a breakdown in talks were inaccurate, noting that exchanges are still ongoing and further engagement is expected as both sides assess updated proposals.
The United States and Israel have been involved in broader regional tensions linked to the conflict, which erupted following military actions earlier in the year, but diplomatic efforts have continued in parallel through indirect channels.
Despite differing positions on core issues, both sides appear to maintain back-channel communication as part of ongoing efforts to explore a possible framework for de-escalation.
