7 Reps Members Get Return Tickets in Zamfara APC Primaries

Seven serving members of the House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State have secured return tickets for the 2027 general elections during the party’s primary elections in the state.

Declaring the results on Monday night, the Chairman of the APC National Assembly Primaries Committee in Zamfara State, Dr Bello Maigari, said the House of Representatives primaries were successfully conducted.

Maigari described the elections as peaceful and urged defeated aspirants to see the outcome as part of the democratic process.

He also announced the appointment of a committee to address complaints from aspirants, beginning Tuesday, May 19, 2026, by 10:00 a.m.

The candidates who emerged victorious include Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu, representing Maru/Bungudu, who polled 46,000 votes; Hon. Bello Hassan Shinkafi, who secured 23,007 votes; and Hon. Kabiru Amadu of Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency, who polled 85,723 votes out of a total of 87,995 votes cast among six aspirants.

June 12: SDP Honours Abiola, Calls For Democratic Governance

In Gummi/Bukkuyum Federal Constituency, Suleiman Ahmad Gummi defeated Kabiru Gayari with 31,299 votes.

In Bakura/Maradun Federal Constituency, Hon. Muhammad Abba Sani defeated Hon. Muntaqa Rini with 34,282 votes, while Hon. Isah Muhammad Anka of Talata Mafara/Anka Federal Constituency secured 35,139 votes.

Also, Hon. Aminu Jaji won his primary election against two other aspirants with 37,640 votes.
