The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 643 operational personnel across the state ahead of the Eid-el-Adha celebrations, in a move aimed at strengthening security, safeguarding lives, and protecting critical infrastructure.
The deployment, approved under the leadership of the State Commandant, CC Sani Mustapha, is designed to cover the pre-Eid, Eid day, and post-Eid periods across all 14 local government areas of the state.
According to a statement signed by the Head of Public Relations for the Zamfara State Command on behalf of the Commandant, the operation is intended to ensure extensive security coverage at Eid prayer grounds and other strategic locations, while maintaining order throughout the festive period.
“The state commandant calls for an extensive operational coverage, discipline, consistency and the display of professionalism from all personnel to achieve peace and order, efficiently,” the statement read.
CC Sani Mustapha reaffirmed the commitment of the Corps under the leadership of the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, noting that the agency remains fully dedicated to its statutory mandate of protecting lives, property, and critical national infrastructure.
He assured residents of Zamfara State that the Command would not relent in its responsibilities, warning that any individual found engaging in criminal activity would face the full consequences of the law.
“Zamfara state command will not relent; he reassured the civil populace of the Corps’ resolute obligation of protecting lives, property and critical infrastructure; noting, any perpetrator apprehended shall face the ramifications of his or her action,” he said.
