The Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Matawalle, has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure re-election in the 2027 general elections, citing growing support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) nationwide.

Matawalle, a former governor of Zamfara State, made the remark on Saturday in his hometown during an APC mobilisation exercise, where a large number of party supporters gathered to reaffirm backing for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

A statement issued by the minister’s Personal Assistant on Media, Ahmad Dan-Wudil, said Matawalle joined party members in his ward as part of efforts to demonstrate continued support for the APC-led Federal Government.

Addressing supporters, the minister declared that President Tinubu and APC candidates would emerge victorious in the 2027 elections.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win again in 2027. The APC remains strong and enjoys the confidence of the people. The turnout we have witnessed today is a reflection of the trust Nigerians continue to place in our party and its leadership,” he said.

Matawalle said the large turnout at the event reflected the strength of Nigeria’s democracy and growing confidence in the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration.

He added that residents of Zamfara State remained firmly behind the APC and would continue to support efforts aimed at improving development and strengthening security across the country.

According to him, the ruling party was well positioned to secure victories across various elective positions in the state and nationwide during the 2027 polls.
