Paris Jackson, the daughter of late pop icon Michael Jackson, has opened up about her long battle with drug addiction and how she finally saved her life.

Speaking on a podcast, Trying Not to Die, the 26-year-old model and musician stated that her journey to staying clean was about finding her true self again, rather than just stopping the use of drugs.

She said that alcohol and drug abuse completely changed her personality, making her act in ways she is not proud of today.

“I became morally ugly,” she said, noting that the habits made her lose the good manners she was raised with.

The pop star’s daughter also noted that she had to go to rehabilitation centres multiple times for professional treatment before she could finally break free from the deadly cycle.
