Sen Onor Accuses Cross River APC Of Sacking Party Chair Over Loyalty To Ayade

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, Prof. Sandy Onor, has accused the Cross River State All Progressives Congress (APC) of sacking their former state party chairman Barr. Alphonsus Eba over his loyalty to former Governor Ben Ayade.

Onor said the current APC administration in the state would not have come into power without Ayade’s efforts, stressing that Eba was ousted because of his allegiance to the former governor.

Senator Onor made the claims yesterday at Margaret Ekpo International Airport while addressing PDP supporters who came to welcome him ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.

He described Eba’s removal as political betrayal, saying, “Chief Alphonsus Eba was cast down by those God has given power to now.”

Eba was the immediate past state party chairman of APC who after he was sent packing from the APC defected from the APC and joined the PDP to enable him contest the deputy governorship position in the state in the PDP platform.

Senator Onor said, “Because Eba had been loyal to the predecessor who put them in power. Wickedness cannot be greater than that. That was his only sin,” Onor said.

He stressed that Eba’s fate ultimately rests with God since God is the only individual who lifts fallen individuals up when a man brings an individual down.

“But it is God that puts you up. When man puts you down and God says you cannot be, there will be a lifting up.”

Onor  a former senator who represented Cross River Central senatorial district rejected attempt by individuals to bar Eba from entering the state, arguing that “God is not a man” and sees things differently.

“No man has the right to banish Alphonsus Eba from entering the state. I am here as a testament of the fact that no one man can banish you. No one man can put you down. With God, all things are possible.”

He urged Cross Riverians to embrace love over political spite, declaring, “I am here to announce to you that we will manifest God. We will preach love and show love.

You cannot be saying you know God, but all of what you do is predicated on wickedness.” Warning that “God is a God of vengeance who is watching all our  pretensions.

“We will sow light, show light, and spread love.”  He reminded those in authority that “power is transient.”

While unveiling his campaign team, Onor said he came for the presidential primaries and to also use the opportunity to unveil his team.
