Edo Experiencing Massive Devt Under Okpebholo – Agbomhere

Chief operating officer of UBIIJUS Intelligence, an oil, gas, marine, environment, natural resources, security, law and business development consulting firm, Dr Blessing Agbomhere  has commended the achievements recorded by the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo since it assumed office in November 2024.

Agbomhere described Okpebholo’s achievements as unprecedented in the history of Edo State.

In a statement he signed b, Agbomhere said Okpebholo’s commitment to infrastructural renewal, security enhancement and environmental sustainability had ushered in a new era of progress and development in the state.

According to him, the ongoing massive reconstruction and rehabilitation of critical road infrastructure, including the landmark Ramat Park Flyover in Benin City, stand as clear evidence of the governor’s determination to transform Edo State.

He observed that the flyover project, designed to address the perennial traffic congestion at the strategic Ramat Park axis linking the Benin–Auchi and Benin–Asaba expressways, has become a symbol of purposeful leadership and visionary governance.

Agbomhere further highlighted the rehabilitation of sections of Sapele Road and other strategic roads across the state, stressing that these interventions are restoring confidence in government and improving the quality of life of residents.

He also praised the administration’s expansion of drainage infrastructure aimed at mitigating flooding and enhancing urban development, noting that such projects have demonstrated the governor’s resolve to address longstanding environmental and ecological challenges confronting communities across Edo State.

Agbomhere equally lauded Governor Okpebholo’s efforts in strengthening the state’s security architecture through sustained collaboration with security agencies. According to him, the provision of logistics support and operational resources to security agencies has significantly improved the security situation in the state while boosting investor confidence and economic activities.

“Governor Monday Okpebholo has, within a short period in office, demonstrated uncommon courage, vision and commitment to the development of Edo State. His administration’s achievements in infrastructure, security, environmental management and public service delivery have set a new benchmark for governance in our state,” Agbomhere stated.

The legal practitioner assured the governor of his continued support and cooperation in advancing policies and programmes aimed at sustainable development, environmental protection and improved living conditions for all Edo people, while urging residents of the state to continue supporting the administration’s developmental agenda, expressing confidence that the governor’s people-centred policies would deliver even greater dividends of democracy in the years ahead.
