Nollywood actor Muyiwa Ademola has penned an emotional plea to the Nigerian government, calling for urgent action to protect the lives of citizens. The actor shared a heartbroken photo alongside a candlelight image on his Instagram page, painting a picture of a nation in mourning.

Ademola expressed that Nigerians are currently in a state of grief, appealing directly to the government to step up and fulfil its most basic responsibility to its people.

“We are grieving at this moment! Please help us! Nigerian government, all we ask for at this juncture is adequate protection for our lives! It should be the least on our priorities, but now it is our major priority,” he wrote passionately.

The actor stressed that the safety of lives, which should ordinarily be a given, has tragically become the number one concern for ordinary Nigerians, highlighting just how dire the security situation in the country has become.

Ademola’s post joins a growing chorus of voices from Nigeria’s entertainment industry speaking out against the worsening insecurity crisis gripping the nation.
