Blessing CEO, whose real name is Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, has reacted after being remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre over fraud charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The relationship expert appeared before a Federal High Court in Lagos on June 9 and was granted bail in the sum of ₦10 million. However, the court ordered her remand after the EFCC declined custody, citing a lack of space.

She was also arraigned the same day in a separate fraud case involving ₦69.1 million.

A day after the court proceedings, Blessing CEO addressed her followers on Instagram. She outlined the charges against her and maintained that she remained positive despite the situation.

She said:

“3 charges with EFCC. 1st 36 million naira wey I don pay finish ooo. Tenancy dispute. 2nd 69 million naira, Tenancy dispute. I did not sell anybody’s house that I rented to you. 3rd cancer drama, 13 million donated and the gal wey say I doctor her result.”

The influencer said she pleaded not guilty to all the charges after spending 26 days in EFCC custody.

She also revealed that this is her second time in prison. The first was in 2022 over allegations of defamation and cyberbullying.

Blessing added that she plans to remain at the correctional centre while she completes the requirements for her bail.

She added:

“Pleaded not guilty to all of the charges after spending 26 days in Efcc custody. I have now been remanded In kiriikiri correctional center make I go rest, pending on when perfect my bail. 2nd time going to prison, 1st time was 2022, alleged defamation and cyberbullying. So second time In kirikiri correctional center na him be say I go gats to contest for president. It will end in praise… Watch God turn this into a big stepping stone.”

Blessing CEO thanked the EFCC for what she called “free publicity”. She also joked about becoming an ambassador for the agency.

She asked her supporters to keep her in their prayers. The influencer said her accounts had been restricted. She also invited friends and well-wishers to visit her at Kirikiri on weekends and bring food.

The online community expressed mixed feelings, with many critics bashing her while fans offered support.
