Gwarzo Felicitates Prof Amina Bayero On 56th Birthday

Founder of the MAAUN Group of Universities and President of the Association of Africa Private Universities (AAPU), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has paid glowing tribute to the Vice Chancellor of Northwest University (NWU), Kano, Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero, as she marks her 56th birthday.

In a congratulatory message issued on Thursday, Gwarzo described Prof. Bayero as a distinguished scholar, seasoned academic and exemplary administrator whose contributions to higher education have earned her widespread respect within and outside the academic community.

He said the occasion provided an opportunity to celebrate a woman whose career has been defined by scholarship, humility and a commitment to academic excellence.

“It is with immense gratitude to Almighty Allah that we congratulate a distinguished scholar and the first female Vice Chancellor of Northwest University, Kano, Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero, on this auspicious occasion.

“On behalf of the management of the MAAUN Group of Universities, I extend our heartfelt felicitations to Prof. Amina Salihi Bayero on this important milestone,” he said.

Gwarzo noted that the vice chancellor has distinguished herself through years of dedicated service in various academic and administrative capacities, contributing significantly to the advancement of education and research.

He described her as an epitome of scholarship and humility whose leadership continues to inspire students, academics and administrators alike.

According to him, Prof. Bayero’s emergence as the first female vice chancellor of Northwest University remains a landmark achievement that has further strengthened the institution’s pursuit of excellence.

The MAAUN founder prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, wisdom, good health and long life for the celebrant, expressing confidence that she would continue to contribute meaningfully to the growth of higher education in Nigeria.

He also wished her greater success in her efforts to further elevate Northwest University and consolidate its reputation as a centre of academic excellence.
