Nollywood actress Uche Jombo has hit out at bloggers who shared photos and videos of the late actor Alex Ekubo’s wife following his service of songs, despite deliberate efforts to keep her identity private.

Jombo expressed dismay that the widow, who wore a face mask to the memorial service, was exposed online without regard for the family’s clear wishes.

“A husband who has been through public scrutiny kept his wife private to protect her. None of his close friends ever shared her picture. She wore a face mask during his service of songs. Yet somehow, the privacy message didn’t register with bloggers. Woke up today to her videos and pictures all over my TL as breaking news,” she wrote.

The actress stressed that Alex Ekubo had intentionally shielded his wife from the spotlight throughout years of public attention, a boundary his inner circle had consistently respected.

Her remarks have since ignited debate online, with many social media users divided over where the line falls between public interest and the privacy of celebrities’ families.
