Anambra State government has urged the residents to support the government’s effort to check the activities of  fake pastors and native doctors who indulge in diabolical practices by volunteering information to the authorities about such characters.

The state commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, Dr Law Mefor, who conveyed the government’s appeal in a statement made available to newsmen yesterday said the  government would handle such information with “utmost confidentiality.”

He stated that the administration of Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo had extended the “War Against Fake Native Doctors” to fake pastors and other individuals masquerading as genuine men and women of God while engaging in criminal practices.

He said that the government was resolute to rid the state of all forms of criminality and sanitise both traditional worship and religious practices in order to restore sanity, law and order in the state.
