Zamfara NDC Sympathises With Communities Over Bandit Attacks

Nigeria Democratic Congress, (NDC) Zamfara State chapter has commiserated with communities in Zurmi, Maradun and Anka over the resurgence of banditry in their areas.

A statement signed by the assistant publicity secretary of the party, Murtala Gusau, described the rampant attacks on the communities as unfortunate.

It said, “We were very surprised and shocked when we heard the state governor’s interview with the BBC, in which he said he did not promise to end insecurity during his campaign.”

NDC under the leadership of the chairman Alhaji Surajo Garba Mai Katako condemned the governor’s remarks in a strong term.

The party commiserated with state police command and the family of 3 EOD officers who lost their lives in the cause of their duty along Bagega-Anka Road i.

The party described the attack on security personnel as uncalled for.

It charged the federal government to provide all the necessary equipment to security agencies in the fight against insecurity in the state and Northwest.

“The party received with shock how our 3 gallant EOD Police officers lost their lives “, Gusau said.

The party reaffirmed its determination to cooperate with security agencies in restoring peace in the state.

“We shall remain committed to always partner with security agencies in the fight against insecurity for peace to thrive in the state”, Gusau added.
