Nigerian-American singer-songwriter David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as ‘Davido’ gifted a loyal fan ₦15 million on June 20 after an exchange on X caught his attention.

The fan, identified as Abazz (@abazwhylle) had praised the singer for recently giving a car to another supporter. During the discussion, a social media user mocked him for supporting Davido for years without receiving a reward.
The critic then added a sarcastic prayer, mockingly asking Davido to “bless” Abazz.

Abazz responded that his admiration for the Afrobeats star was not driven by money or material benefits. His reply caught the attention of Davido.

Impressed by the fan’s loyalty, the singer responded by offering him a cash gift of ₦15 million.IMG 2472

Many social media users praised the gesture and described it as inspiring. Others stressed the need for artistes to recognise loyal fans who support their careers.

However, some questioned whether the singer would eventually give Abbaz the money. Below are some of the reactions.

He would not like to embarrass himself, so he would send it, he is not like that.
