Court Postpones Rapper Odumodublvck’s Assault Case Until October

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned the assault and battery lawsuit filed against Nigerian rapper Chukwuka Ekweani, popularly known as Odumodublvck.

The presiding judge, Adeyemi Ajayi, postponed the case to October 13 and 14, 2026, following a request from the defence team for additional preparation time.

The lawsuit was initiated in November 2025 by Levi Ogbogiri, also known as Kraziecent. According to court documents, Ogbogiri alleged that the musician physically attacked him during a public function on December 16, 2024. The claimant further stated that the encounter resulted in emotional distress and damage to his mobile phone.

During the recent court session, the claimant’s legal representative, Uchenna Ojembe, stated that his client was present and ready to give testimony as the primary witness. However, the defence counsel, Damilare Adeojo, petitioned the court for an adjournment, noting that a motion filed late last year required further review by his team.

Although the claimant’s lawyer strongly opposed the delay and requested a financial penalty against the defence, the judge urged both legal teams to maintain professional courtesy and granted the postponement without any monetary fines.

This marks the second major delay in the ongoing legal proceedings, following a previous postponement in May due to the absence of the defendant’s legal representative.
