First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has strengthened its digital banking proposition by integrating mutual fund investment services into its mobile application, a move aimed at expanding wealth creation opportunities for customers and deepening financial inclusion.

The latest upgrade to the FCMB mobile app allows customers to invest in mutual funds directly from their mobile devices, eliminating the need to navigate multiple platforms and making wealth-building more accessible and convenient.

The bank said the enhancement forms part of a broader upgrade designed to improve customer experience, expand access to financial services and reward customer loyalty.

A key feature of the upgraded app is a reward points system that enables customers to earn and redeem points through transactions carried out on the platform. According to FCMB, the initiative is intended to transform everyday banking activities into value-driven experiences while encouraging greater customer engagement within its digital ecosystem.

In addition, FCMB has introduced a Regal Premium Lifestyle Subscription, offering customers access to curated lifestyle benefits across travel, dining and entertainment. New-to-bank customers will also enjoy three months of free transfers.

To further improve customer service, the bank has launched “Chat with Temi”, an intelligent in-app assistant designed to provide instant support and accelerate issue resolution.

Speaking on the development, FCMB’s Divisional Head, Payments and Solutions, Oladipo Alabede, said the bank remains focused on delivering innovative solutions that address customers’ evolving needs.

“At FCMB, we are constantly innovating to meet the evolving needs of our customers. These features are designed to provide convenience, reward loyalty, and empower our customers to do more with their finances, right from their mobile devices,” Alabede said.

As part of its financial inclusion drive, the bank has also simplified the process of upgrading accounts from Tier 1 to Tier 2, enabling customers to access enhanced banking services without visiting a branch.

Customers can now instantly request and activate virtual cards through the app, facilitating secure and seamless online transactions.

FCMB’s Divisional Head, Personal Banking, Adetunji Lamidi, said the enhancements underscore the bank’s technology-driven strategy to build smarter and more intuitive banking solutions.

“These upgrades reflect our technology-driven strategy to build a smarter, more intuitive banking platform. By integrating intelligent support systems like Temi and enabling instant services such as virtual card activation, we are redefining convenience and accessibility in banking,” Lamidi stated.

According to the bank, the comprehensive upgrade reinforces FCMB’s commitment to innovation, customer-centricity and digital excellence, positioning its mobile application as a one-stop platform for seamless, future-ready banking and digital wealth creation services.
