The Group Managing Director (GMD) of LEADERSHIP Newspapers, Muazu Elazeh, has applauded the efforts of Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State in the prompt payment of monthly salary to civil servants, settlement of pensions and gratuities and the infrastructural drive.

The commendation was contained in a statement by the governor’s adviser on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki issued to journalists in Birnin Kebbi.

According to the statement, the GMD made the commendation when he received in audience the Kebbi government media team led by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Yakubu Ahmed, in his office at LEADERSHIP headquarters in Abuja.

Elazeh had told the media team that LEADERSHIP, an award-winning Newspaper with the motto “For God and Country,” remains committed to promoting initiatives that advance national cohesion and development.

He attributed the achievements recorded by Governor Idris in terms of prompt payments of salaries and gratuities to his being a renowned labour leader.

The GMD assured the team of LEADERSHIP’s readiness to deepen collaboration with the Kebbi State government through balanced and effective publicity of its achievements and programmes.

He also promised a mutual beneficial partnership between Leadership Newspaper and the Kebbi State government stressing that several state governments currently utilise dedicated pages in the Newspaper.
