The ancient city of Arogbo, the hometown of the member representing Ilaje-Ese-Odo Federal Constituency, Hon. Donald Kimikanbo Ojogo, was agog in a carnival-like atmosphere on Friday, 3 July 2026, as APC faithful, party leaders, supporters and well-wishers trooped out in their thousands to welcome their representative, while pledging their unwavering support to the APC following his emergence as the party’s flag bearer for the Ilaje-Ese-Odo Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The mammoth crowd, chanting solidarity songs in support of Hon. Ojogo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, unanimously resolved to vote massively for Hon. Ojogo, President Tinubu, and all other APC candidates in the 2027 elections, expressing confidence in the party’s leadership and commitment to delivering more dividends of democracy.

The unprecedented turnout and the overwhelming display of solidarity further underscored the APC’s growing dominance across the Ilaje-Ese-Odo Federal Constituency. Political observers at the event noted that the massive show of strength has significantly diminished the visibility and momentum of opposition parties in the constituency, reinforcing the widespread belief that the APC remains the party to beat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Hon. Donald Kimikanbo Ojogo expressed profound appreciation to the people of Arogbo Kingdom, party leaders, members and supporters for the overwhelming reception and the confidence reposed in him. He described the organic show of support as a call to greater service. He assured the people that he would remain committed to attracting more developmental projects and ensuring that the Federal Constituency enjoys increased benefits under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

As part of the homecoming activities, Hon. Ojogo paid a courtesy visit to the Paramount Ruler of Arogbo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Barr. Zaccheaus Doubra Egbunu, the Agadagba of Arogbo Kingdom, where he received the royal blessings of the revered monarch and reaffirmed his commitment to the continued peace, unity and development of Arogbo Kingdom and the entire Ilaje-Ese-Odo Federal Constituency.

Hon. Ojogo further urged the people to remain united, steadfast and committed to the APC, emphasising that the victory recorded at the primary election is only the beginning of a greater assignment that would culminate in a resounding victory for the party in 2027.
