Oyo PDP Hails Rescue Of Oriire Abductees

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Oyo State has congratulated the families of abductees rescued in the Oriire incident, while commending the Federal Government and security agencies for securing their release alive.

In a statement signed by the state chairman, Professor Abdulrahman Akinoso and made available to journalists in Ibadan, the party said it rejoices with the affected families and prays that the safe return of the victims marks an end to such painful experiences in the state.

“The PDP in Oyo State continues to stand with the affected families, just as we have done throughout the unfortunate travails. We remain committed to supporting you and ensuring your welfare is prioritized,” the statement read.

The party also commended the Federal Government and security agencies for what it described as a careful and diligent response that led to the rescue of all abductees.

“We commend the Federal Government and our security agencies for their professionalism and coordination. This outcome deserves appreciation,” Akinoso stated.

The PDP further commiserated with families of those who lost their lives in the incident, praying to God to repose their souls and grant fortitude to those they left behind to bear the irreparable loss.
