All On, an off-grid energy access investment company, has launched the 2026 edition of its Off-Grid Energy Challenge to support Nigerian entrepreneurs developing innovative clean energy solutions aimed at expanding electricity access across underserved communities.

The nationwide competition, which opened for applications on July 2 and will close on July 31, is open to Nigerian-owned clean energy companies seeking funding and technical support to scale commercially viable off-grid energy projects.

According to the company, the initiative is designed to identify and support renewable energy innovations capable of addressing Nigeria’s energy access deficit while promoting economic growth through productive use of electricity.

Successful applicants will receive between *$200,000 and $1 million* in blended financing, comprising non-dilutive and commercial funding, alongside technical assistance and investment-readiness support from the All On Hub.

The company said the 2026 challenge will prioritise projects that promote the productive use of energy in agriculture, healthcare, cold-chain systems, enterprise development, mini-grids, solar home systems, energy efficiency and other off-grid solutions that improve livelihoods.

Speaking at the launch, Innovation Hub Manager, *Sele Inegbedion*, said the initiative was created to empower Nigerian entrepreneurs with innovative solutions to the country’s energy challenges.

“The Off-Grid Energy Challenge exists because we believe the solutions to Nigeria’s energy problems already live within Nigeria, in the minds and hands of our entrepreneurs. Our role is to find them, support them and walk with them as they grow,” he said.

He added that this year’s edition offers increased funding to accelerate clean energy innovation and expand access to electricity in underserved communities.

Also speaking, Chief Executive Officer of All On, *Caroline Eboumbou*, said the challenge reflects the company’s commitment to investing in entrepreneurs tackling Nigeria’s energy access gap.

“Nigeria’s off-grid energy sector has consistently shown that patient, flexible financing backed by deep market understanding can deliver transformational results. The Off-Grid Energy Challenge represents our commitment to supporting entrepreneurs solving one of the country’s most pressing development challenges,” she said.
