The  Commissioner for Health and Human Services in the state, Dr Oyebanji Filani, who stated this said it is an indication of the government’s unwavering commitment to the continuous improvement of the health and well-being of the people.
Speaking during an on-the-spot assessment of the ongoing work at the General Hospitals in Ado-Ekiti , Filani said the programme provides free and affordable healthcare services to vulnerable Ekiti people.
On other things that have been done in the health sector by the present administration , Filani said over 100 primary health centres renovated and upgraded  across the state with solar power, water supply and essential equipment.
The commissioner said that the state government has recently recruited health workers into the State Primary Health Care Development Agency and General Hospitals to further strengthen service delivery.
He further disclosed that the Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration in the state had also renovated and equipped more than 10 general hospitals with modern medical equipment.
According to him,“Under the current administration, over 100 PHCs across the 16 local government areas have been renovated and upgraded with solar power, water supply, and essential equipment. More than 10 general hospitals have also been renovated and equipped with modern medical equipment, while mechanisms have been put in place to ensure consistent access to essential drugs.”.l
He noted that the welfare and well-being of health workers across the state remain a top priority of the administration.
“These interventions are part of deliberate efforts to strengthen the health system, improve maternal and child health outcomes and ensure that no Ekiti resident is left behind in accessing quality care,” Filani said.
The commissioner expressed satisfaction with the level and quality of work done so far, noting that the projects aligned with Oyebanji administration’s vision of bringing quality and accessible healthcare closer to the people at the grassroots.
