Stakeholders Task Employers On Decent Job Creation

Stakeholders have charged the nation’s employers of labour to ensure provision of decent work in order to create wealth.

The secretary-general of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff Association (FOBTOB), Comrade Solomon Adeosun, in a chat with LEADERSHIP said what the country needs most now goes beyond mere job creation, but decent work that can help idleness and crime from the country.

According to him, “It is an open secret that idleness is a major factor in the insecurity problems of Nigeria.

“So, if more companies are provided the enabling environment to create jobs and take many out of the unemployment market, it’s highly likely that insecurity would be curbed.

Another stakeholder, Dr. Innocent Ihenacho Ogbonna tied decent jobs creation to tool of tackling crime in the society.
