The general overseer of Christian Central Chapel International (CCCI), Bishop Gospel Emmah  Isong has said President Muhammadu Buhari will go after his aides who are perceived to be corrupt before his tenure ends this year.

Isong made the remarks weekend during the 2023 crossover night where thousands of worshippers gathered at the church auditorium in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The cleric who doubles as the national publicity secretary of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), said, “Very many VIPs, big personalities will be arrested and prosecuted for corruption charges this year.

“The president is going to do this as a way of laundering his image as he winds up his term so that you won’t say he didn’t fight corruption.

“His closest allies will be sacrificed so that people will say Buhari kept the anti-corruption promise”, Bishop Isong prophesied.

On other issues bothering the nation’s peace and stability, Isong who is also the Patron of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) South South Zone said, “People will begin to defend themselves against terrorist invaders, herders and kidnappers.

“People will start defending themselves because Nigerians will lose faith with the security system, the police and the army, communities will gather and defend themselves none will do anything about it”.

Commenting on Nigeria’s general elections Isong said that INEC will be very strict and many politicians will fall into the INEC dragnet.

While shading light on the Cross River State governorship polls, the banking and financial expert turned preacher of gospel of Jesus Christ said,  “It’s not going to be a sure banker but rude shocker”.

“God said, I will give the seat to a man who has covenant with me and not to a man who has covenant with another man”, Isong stressed.

The cleric admonished the congregation to pray against major loss of lives at the Cross River State Government House as the Government House will lose lives.

While shading light on Akwa Ibom State governorship elections, Isong said, “there will be increased enmity towards the Akwa Ibom State governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, notwithstanding his showcasing of  lofty  projects executed by his administration stressing that the administration  will end up as one of the most attacked.

“He will send the town crier saying I have done much I don’t know what you want me to do but these attacks from my information are demonic, politically motivated and orchestrated from the kingdom of darkness.

“i see him very discouraged and not wanting to stay till the day of inauguration, I hear him telling a friend I want to leave and people are begging him,” the cleric prophesied.
