Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday hosted Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, former Ekiti State governor Kayode Fayemi, and former Osun State governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola at his residence within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Makinde disclosed that the meeting focused on critical national issues ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a post shared on his X handle after the visit, the Oyo State governor said the delegation sought the former president’s counsel on issues affecting the country as political activities gather momentum.
“Earlier today, we visited Baba, His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, in Abeokuta. Our discussions centred on important national issues in view of the upcoming general election,” Makinde wrote.
He added, “We appreciate Baba for his wise counsel at this crucial time in our nation’s history.”
