Content creator Peller has announced that only 100 invited guests will be allowed to attend his white wedding with partner Jarvis, following reports that several phones were stolen during their traditional wedding.
The couple, who exchanged traditional marriage rites on Saturday, August 1, attracted a huge turnout of celebrities, influencers and fans, with videos from the event widely shared across social media.
However, shortly after the ceremony, Peller said he began receiving calls from guests claiming their mobile phones had been stolen outside the venue.
“I just dey get different calls about people’s phones being snatched outside,” he wrote on Instagram.
In response, Peller said the couple’s white wedding, scheduled for August 8, would be a much smaller, invitation-only event to improve security.
“August 8th is the day we will join together as one, which is the white wedding. 100 guests only pls if I did not send u an invitation pls do not come,” he said.
He also warned touts, popularly known as agberos, to stay away from the venue, alleging that many phones were stolen during the traditional ceremony.
“Agbero pls don’t come and stay outside the place. They will pack any agbero wey there see for outside and take u to where u don’t know because u guys thief many phones yesterday,” he added.
Peller further stated that security personnel would be on the ground to remove anyone found loitering around the venue. The location of the white wedding has not been disclosed.
