The Etsu Nupe and chairman Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar has turbaned the 14th Etsu-Dazhi of Doko, Lavun local government area of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Abdullahi Madiu.
The traditional ruler who spoke during the official installations at the Wadata Palace, Bida urged the district heads in his domain to work assiduously for peace as well as being just and fair to their subjects.
He said traditional rulers have a critical role to play in promoting peace and justice as a way of complementing governments at all levels.
The Etsu Nupe said this is important considering the current realities of myriad of challenges facing the country and the strategic positions of traditional rulers.
He therefore admonished the 14th Etsu Dazhi Doko to be an ambassador of peace for the overall development of the kingdom.
Also, the Magajin Garin Doko, Alhaji Usman Ndako and the Iya Doko, Mr. Zacheaus Ndabida thanked the Etsu Nupe.
They prayed for good leadership, sustainable peace and development in Doko, Bida Emirate, Niger state and Nigeria adding that without peace there will not be progress.
