Big Brother Naija star Uriel Oputa has responded to criticism over her fashion choices, making it clear that she intends to dress according to her own preferences.

The reality TV personality addressed the backlash on Instagram, saying she is aware of the comments about her appearance but has chosen not to be bothered by negative opinions.

Uriel encouraged those criticising the way she looks to direct more attention towards their own health and wellbeing instead.

“I will continue to wear what I want, look how I want, and prioritise taking care of myself. No offence. With all due respect, I genuinely appreciate all the beautiful brands that reach out to me,” she said.

The former BBNaija housemate also clarified that she does not depend on complimentary clothing from fashion brands and asked companies not to send her unsolicited packages.

“But let me put this out there once and for all: I do not wear clothes for free. Please, I do not want pr packages. I don’t want clothes sent to my house as gifts, and I don’t need free clothes,” she added.

Uriel went on to joke about the amount of clothing already in her possession, saying she has enough pieces at home and is even looking for people to give some of them.
