Gov Idris Releases Over N2bn To Higher Institutions In Kebbi

Kebbi State governor, Alhaji Nasir Idris, has released N2.07 billion to improve the standard of higher institutions of the state.

The commissioner for Higher Education, Isah Abubakar Tunga, announced this yesterday at a news conference held at the ministry’s Conference Hall in Birnin Kebbi.

He said N1.750 billion would be used to buy seven Coaster buses for Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero (AFUSTA), Adamu Augie College of Education (AACOE) Argungu, Kebbi State College of Nursing Sciences Birnin Kebbi, Kauran Gwandu College of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences Ambursa, Kebbi State College of Health Sciences And Technology Jega, Kebbi State Polytechnic Dakingari and Kebbi State College of Advance and Legal Studies Yelwa/Yauri.

Tunga added that N172.154.817 million payment was made for the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowances (CATA) and Consolidated Non-Teaching Tools Allowances (CONTTA) salary structure for the ASUU, SSANU, NASU and NAAT chapters of the Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero.
