The director-general and chief executive officer of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), Dr. Kazeem Raji, has said the reforms introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration are repositioning Nigeria for greater investment, innovation and sustainable economic growth.
Raji stated this at the maiden meeting of the Forum of PBAT CEOs in Abuja, a platform established to strengthen collaboration among chief executives and heads of federal government agencies appointed by President Tinubu, while supporting the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to him, the forum was created to promote collective leadership, policy coordination, peer engagement and institutional support among members.
He said the platform would enable agency heads to align their institutions more effectively with government priorities, encourage inter-agency collaboration and provide a mechanism for showcasing the impact of programmes and projects implemented across government.
Raji stressed that members of the forum had a responsibility to translate government policies into measurable outcomes and ensure that Nigerians were adequately informed about initiatives, investments and services delivered by public institutions.
Highlighting the reforms of the Tinubu administration, Raji cited the removal of fuel subsidies, foreign exchange market reforms, fiscal and tax measures, infrastructure development and efforts to attract domestic and foreign investment.
He said the administration had also reported progress in public finance, infrastructure, domestic refining capacity, education, housing, agriculture, healthcare and technology.
According to him, the reforms were part of broader efforts to reposition the economy and create an environment capable of supporting investment, innovation and sustainable development.
Raji said the achievements recorded across various sectors should be properly documented and communicated to the public to enable Nigerians to understand the impact of government policies and programmes.
The NBTI boss said the Forum of PBAT CEOs would serve as a platform for strengthening unity among agency heads, supporting the implementation of government reforms and improving public understanding of government policies.
He added that the forum would identify opportunities for collaboration among agencies, reduce unnecessary duplication of efforts and encourage the sharing of institutional experience and expertise.
Raji also urged members to leverage their professional and community networks to engage citizens on government policies and programmes.
He said such engagement should promote what he described as lawful, ethical and issue-based participation in the democratic process ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The convener further emphasised the importance of continuity in government policies and reforms, arguing that ongoing initiatives require consistency to achieve their intended results.
He said the forum would work towards consolidating the achievements associated with the Renewed Hope Agenda while strengthening cooperation among Federal Government institutions.
The maiden meeting marked the formal launch of the Forum of PBAT CEOs, bringing together chief executives and heads of Federal Government agencies for what the organisers described as a platform for strategic collaboration, policy coordination and national development.
