As part of its preparedness for the 2027 Hajj, Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (KBSPWA) has paid the sum of N21.5 billion the fares for the state’s intending pilgrims to the National Hajji Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

This was confirmed by the executive chairman of the agency, Faruku Musa Enabo, when he led NAHCON officials on a courtesy call to Governor Nasir Idris, at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

He told the governor and the delegation that his agency had registered 3,257 intending pilgrims for the next year’s hajj as the highest figures recorded in the country.

According to him, the agency has reached 95 per cent registration of intending pilgrims and 85 per cent of remittance of fares to NAHCON.

Enabo implored the intending Pilgrims who initially made a deposit of N5 million to hasten the completion of their payment, as Saudi Arabian authorities have set 26 September as the deadline for the registration of intending pilgrims worldwide.

He commended Governor Nasir Idris and all the staff of the agency for their collective support towards the successful arrangements of this year’s Hajj exercise.
