‎Nigerian dancer Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has been released after spending weeks in detention in the United Kingdom over an alleged sexual assault case.

‎Poco Lee’s release comes weeks after news surfaced that he had been arrested in the UK in connection with a sexual assault charge.

‎His management had previously acknowledged that the case was being heard in a UK court and urged the public to wait until the legal process was completed.

‎The news filtered in yesterday with different reports announcing his release.

‎A netizen on Instagram with the username lifedramar posted, “Freedom at last! No one is guilty until proven. Congratulations to Poco Lee and the entire team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make his release possible. And I also want to say this: celebrities and public figures can easily become targets, so please stay safe out there, guys.

‎Also popular online streamer and TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, has confirmed that Nigerian dancer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, alias Poco Lee, has finally regained his freedom following his incarceration in a UK prison.

‎The 21-year-old influencer revealed this recently during a livestream when asked by netizens if the vocal artist had been released.

‎While responding to a fan’s question, Peller asserted that Poco Lee has been released and expressed gratitude to his accuser for not pursuing the case.

‎Reacting to the enquiry, he said: “Yes o, guys, Poco Lee is out. They talk say that girl that sue Poco Lee say the girl e run away from the case, say e leave the case. God go bless the girl, na God go bless am, is a good person.”

‎Elaborating on how he regained his freedom, the skit maker attributed it to the decision of the woman who accused him of sexual assault to withdraw the case.

‎Peller added: “The girl that make Poco Lee go to prison, the girl comot the case, UK lawyer con leave Poco Lee.”

‎Peller’s claim, however, has not been independently confirmed or corroborated by the UK courts or prosecuting authorities as of the time of this report.
