Former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma, has replied Senator Dino Melaye over his criticism of the petition filed against former vice president Atiku Abubakar before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission challenging him to address the substance of the allegations rather than resort to personal attacks.
Recall that Senator Dino Melaye in a viral video in response to Agbonayinma’s petition had described it as “shameful” alleging that the matter raised against Atiku had been previously investigated and dismissed more than 10 years ago.
The former Kogi lawmaker also questioned Agbonayinma’s political consistency alleging that he approached him personally and pleaded to become a member of the ADC.
But Agbonayinma, in a statement and available to newsmen in Benin said Melaye’s claim that he was seeking to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) was false, insisting that he is a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He described the claim as “either a deliberate falsehood or simply a reflection of how poorly informed” Melaye was about his current political affiliation.
