Bandits Kill Local Security Commander, Abduct 2 In Kwara

Suspected bandits have reportedly killed a commander of the local security forces in Idofin-Ayekale, in Oke- Ero local government area of Kwara State.

The local security commander identified as Agbeniga Taye was said to have been killed by the bandits who invaded the Idofin- Ayekale community.

The bandits were said to have also abducted two residents during the attack on the community.

Though, the police were yet to confirm the incident, a viral video showed the body of Taye being carried by two men while a girl said to be the daughter of the deceased was following them.

The identities of the two people kidnapped during attack could not be ascertained as the the time of filing this report.

When contacted, the coordinator of the Joint Security Watch, Kwara South, Elder Olaitan Oyin- Zubair said: “No idea yet please”.

Oyin- Zubair, however sent a video to our reporter, saying:” But this is what was sent to me. I have not confirmed the details yet.”
