Nigerian Breweries Plc has commenced activities to mark its 80th anniversary with a nationwide campaign seeking photographs, videos and personal accounts documenting the company’s impact on Nigerians, businesses and communities over the past eight decades.

The campaign, tagged: “Together, Every Moment,” will see the company invite Nigerians at home and abroad to submit photographs and videos showing how its brands, employees, investments and activities have featured in their lives and communities since the company was incorporated in 1946.

The initiative, known as the National Story Collection, will focus on memories and experiences related to Nigerian Breweries, including those of farmers, distributors, retailers, suppliers, employees, entrepreneurs, and host communities.

According to the company, 80 submissions will be selected, with each winner receiving N1 million and other prizes.

Managing director/CEO of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Thibaut Boidin, said the anniversary campaign was designed to document the company’s history from the perspective of Nigerians who had interacted with it over the years.

“An 80th anniversary can easily become a company talking about itself. That would miss the point,” Boidin said.

He said the company’s eight-decade history had been shaped not only by its operations and brands but also by farmers, entrepreneurs, retailers, distributors, suppliers, employees and communities.

Boidin said selected submissions would be featured in anniversary films, editorial content, social media campaigns, outdoor displays, anniversary events and the company’s commemorative archive.

Nigerian Breweries said participation in the National Story Collection is free, with submissions to be made through its anniversary website or social media using the hashtag #NB@80 and tagging @nigerianbreweriesplc.

The company said other activities planned for the anniversary would include consumer engagement, films, media storytelling, cultural experiences and commemorative events.

Nigerian Breweries, incorporated in 1946, is marking its 80th anniversary this year.
