Pupils Chant ‘Mummy, Daddy, Vote For APC’ While Receiving School Bags

Reactions flooded social media on Wednesday after a video showing nursery and primary school pupils receiving school bags from suspected APC members in the rain while chanting, “Mummy, Daddy, vote for APC,” surfaced online.

The children, said to be pupils of Igbeyin Adun Primary School, Ajeabor, Mushin, Lagos State, were gathered outside as the bags were distributed.

In the footage, the pupils repeatedly chanted, “Mummy, Daddy, vote for APC,” as they collected the bags.

According to reports, the local government chairman coordinated the outreach alongside other supporters who presented the school bags to the pupils.

The footage has since sparked debate, with several people questioning the involvement of children in partisan political activities.

The incident has also renewed discussions about the exposure of pupils to political messaging and the appropriateness of involving children in activities perceived to have partisan undertones.

The development comes as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to attract public attention across the country.
