RAYE Denies Michael B. Jordan Romance, Teases Mystery Project

RAYE has dismissed speculation about a romance with Michael B. Jordan, describing the actor as a friend while confirming that they are working on an undisclosed project together.

The British singer addressed the rumours during interviews at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 27.

Dating speculation began after RAYE and Jordan were seen together at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California on August 7. Their appearance at the amusement park prompted fans to question whether their relationship was more than friendship.

RAYE offered a straightforward explanation when asked about the speculation by Extra.

“No, we’re just friends who like roller coasters,” she said.

The singer also acknowledged that she and Jordan are working together, although she declined to reveal the nature of the project.

“I’m technically not allowed to talk about it because I might get in trouble,” RAYE said.

She gave a similar response during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, describing Jordan as a “lovely friend” and saying they had been “working on some things”.

RAYE Keeps Focus On Music

The Michael B. Jordan speculation comes as RAYE continues to build on the success of her music career.

She performed ‘I Will Overcome’ and ‘WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!’ at the VMAs and also took part in a tribute to the late George Michael.

RAYE has previously said she is delaying work on her next album until she falls in love. The singer explained that she has grown tired of repeatedly drawing on heartbreak and failed relationships as songwriting material.

For now, however, she remains focused on her work while keeping the details of her project with Jordan under wraps.
