Nico O’Reilly has left the England camp and will play no part in the team’s final two Nations League fixtures after picking up an injury.
The Manchester City left-back completed the full match as England lost 3-2 to Spain under manager Thomas Tuchel, but he was unavailable for Tuesday’s 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic.
O’Reilly has now returned to his club for additional medical evaluation.
He will be absent for Saturday’s away meeting with Croatia and the reverse fixture against the Czech Republic on Tuesday.
England have no plans to bring in a replacement. Against the Czech Republic, Lewis Hall filled in at left-back, and the Newcastle United defender worked well with former Newcastle teammate Anthony Gordon on England’s left side.
