After several deadlines, the Nigerian government on Monday issued a directive to the Telecos to bar outgoing calls of Nigerians and legal residents that are yet to integrate their NIN to their SIM.    

The impact of this decision has been sharp as 73 million active mobile lines have been reportedly barred from making calls. This development may have started to have its toll on the Nigerian digital economy with attendant huge losses.
