The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State on Tuesday unveiled the leadership and organisational structure of its governorship campaign council for the 2027 general elections.
The campaign council brings together experienced political leaders, professionals, grassroots organisers, women, youths and other stakeholders entrusted with various responsibilities in the coordination and administration of the campaign activities across the 23 local government areas of the state.
ADC chairman in the state, Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa, in a statement he personally signed, congratulated Senator Andrew Uchendu, chairman of the Campaign Council; Hon. Chimbiko Akarolo, director-general; the vice chairmen, deputy directors-general, directorate leaders, department heads and all other appointees.
Dimkpa said “every appointment carries a responsibility to serve with dedication, discipline, integrity, mutual respect and accountability”.
He stated that the complete membership of the 12 directorates will be published separately, two directorates daily, beginning Wednesday, 14 October 2026, adding that “members whose names do not appear in today’s leadership announcement should therefore await the publication of their respective directorates”.
The ADC chairman urged all appointees to regard their responsibilities as a call to service and to work harmoniously within the approved Campaign Council structure.
Dimkpa concluded by tasking members of the party and the campaign council to remain committed to “the vision of building the Rivers we deserve”.
