FG Targets Presentation Of 2027 Budget Before Year-End

The Federal Government has commenced preparations for the 2027 budget, with plans to present the proposal before the end of the year.

Minister of State for Budget, Dr Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, disclosed this on Wednesday while briefing State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

“We are working on the 2027 budget, and we intend to present it before the end of the year,” Uzoka-Anite said.

The planned presentation is expected to set the stage for the National Assembly’s consideration of the proposed budget ahead of the 2027 fiscal year.

The annual budget outlines the Federal Government’s spending priorities, revenue projections and economic objectives for the coming year.
